Walter Honda, aka Wally, was a loving son and brother.  Born in Chicago, Illinois as the third eldest son to Kusuo and Satoko Honda, he spent his early childhood years living in the Uptown neighborhood.  He attended Senn High School in Chicago, Illinois.  After graduating, he spent nearly forty years working for the railroads between Chicago and North Western and Wisconsin Central.

In his personal time, Wally pursued many hobbies such as his passion for martial arts through Hapkido.  He enjoyed recreational fishing and trying new foods and restaurants.  Living more than twenty years in the Lakeview area, he enjoyed exploring the city and spending time with his beloved family.  He loved celebrating his Japanese heritage and attending the annual Ginza festival in the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago.

He is survived by his loving family and friends, and is dearly missed.
